Dr. Nicole Zenger, Ph.D., Licenced Clinical and Forensic Psychologist
DR. NICOLE ZENGER, Ph.D. is a Licensed Clinical and Forensic Psychologist who received her doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Brigham Young University, with an emphasis in forensic and child psychology. She has several years of experience in psychological and forensic evaluations, working in collaboration with domestic and criminal court officials, attorneys, physicians, mental health professionals, and correctional officers. On the pretrial evaluation unit at North Carolina’s state hospital, Dr. Zenger assessed defendants’ competency to stand trial and/or mental status at the time of offense. Her experience with juvenile courts entailed completing psychological and sexual behavior risk assessments to assist in the adjudication of juvenile offenders. Dr. Zenger has also worked with the Utah State Prison for
three years, evaluating inmates for mental health problems, particularly to rule out malingering. Dr. Zenger has also performed numerous child custody evaluations for the family court in North Carolina. She has also received training from Dr. Jonathan Gould on advanced child custody issues. Dr. Zenger stays up to date on her field with regular attendance at conference workshops related to child custody, high-conflict divorce, and parental alienation. Dr. Zenger’s professional interest continues to be in psychological and forensic assessments. She also has clinical experience in individual and group treatment, psychoeducation, severe and persistent mental illnesses, and pervasive developmental disorders. She is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC).
